Choose a tool

  • Threads — Screw parts together. Add matching printable male and female threads to STL parts.
  • Magnet Pockets — Embed magnets. Create aligned pockets for press-fit or glued magnets.
  • Heat-Set Inserts — Add metal screw inserts. Add printable holes sized for common heat-set inserts.
  • Tabs & Slots — Align parts. Generate mating alignment tabs and slots between parts.
  • Snaps — Click parts together. Set up and preview linked split-prong pins and retaining receivers.
  • Model Splitter — Fit my printer. Split oversized models to fit a printer build volume.

Prepare your STL

STL does not encode units. Check the import review and choose millimeters or inches to match the source; dimensions in the tools are millimeters. Use a closed, watertight solid for geometry operations. Repair open edges and non-manifold geometry in your modeling or mesh-repair tool if generation fails. Keep an untouched original.

Move the view and place a connector

Drag with the left or middle mouse button to pan, drag with the right button to rotate, and use the wheel to zoom. On touch screens, one finger rotates and two fingers pan or zoom. A click or tap on a visible model surface places the selected connector where that tool supports placement; dragging the camera is different from placing it.

Use the move/rotate handles and numeric controls to refine a selected connector. In Model Splitter, choose a joint before editing its pins; use its edit controls and review the cut and joint previews. On narrow screens, switch between Controls and Model to reach settings without losing the workspace.

Check fit before printing the full model

Clearance varies with printer, nozzle, material and orientation. Check a small representative printed sample before committing to the full model. Adjust fit dimensions explicitly in the selected connector's settings, then regenerate and inspect the parts. Existing calibration data and presets are preserved; always check dimensions and remaining wall thickness. A successful mesh does not prove physical fit or strength.

Save and reopen a recipe

Use Workspace → Save as new when signed in, then Workspace → Select workspace to reopen a saved workspace. Saved workspaces contain settings and source metadata, not STL files. Confirm replacement, reselect the original files in the same source slots, and review any source mismatch. Regenerate before exporting the modified STLs. Export opens a sign-in dialog when needed; your parts stay in this tab. Account creation, Google sign-in and password reset open another tab so the workspace stays loaded. Return and choose Continue export after signing in. Keep your original files; signed-out work stays in this tab and does not survive a reload.

Report a failure safely

Include the tool name, steps, browser/device, whether a built-in sample also fails, and the visible error message. Describe relevant units and settings. Remove private filenames and account details from screenshots. Do not send confidential models, passwords, sign-in links or access keys; try to reproduce with a built-in sample first.
